By the time you finish reading, you’ll find it hard to resist choosing this gorgeous island for your trip of a lifetime, especially with the array of highly rated resorts, villas, and hotels available. Below are 12 exceptional places to stay that are ideal for a honeymoon on the beautiful island of St. Lucia.
Several of the resorts offer an all-inclusive stay, some have jaw dropping views of the Pitons and others are in an enviable beachfront location. Expensive? Yes, most are, but for an unforgettable honeymoon experience well worth it. All are priced, with the cheapest starting from €170 (low season) per night. The list is in no particular order, so I highly recommend making sure you check them all out. Alright, Let's get into it.
WEATHER IN ST LUCIA:
Seasons in St Lucia
St Lucia only has 2 seasons - wet and dry. The wet season is from June - November. The dry season is from December - May.
Peak Season: The peak season is from the middle of December to April, with lots of sunshine but cooler weather - without the intense humidity. Shoulder Season:
The shoulder season is from the middle of April to around the start of June. Low Season: The low season runs from June to November with the best deals and reduced rates. It does however bring high humidity, more dates with rain and a chance of a tropical hurricane.
ST LUCIA TIPS:
10 HELPFUL TIPS TO KNOW: 1. St Lucia can get really expensive fast. The St Lucia tourism board has a website that offers special deals as well as lots of other useful information. Here's the link: https://www.stlucia.org/en/
2. When planning your days, be aware that many businesses close on Sundays which will limit the amount of sightseeing you can do on a Sunday.
3. Consider booking a honeymoon package for added value. Many of the hotels listed below have packages specifically curated for the ultimate honeymoon experience.
4. We live in a more and more cashless world; however, some vendors will only accept cash. A few do accept us/euros but to be sure have some Caribbean dollar on you.
5. Traffic can get quite heavy at times, consider taking a water taxi to get around or hire a driver for the day. 6. When taking transport lookout for buses with green number plates that begin with M and Taxis that start with Tx and are a lighter shade of blue. These are the official transportations of St Lucia. If you do hire a car, get one with relatively high clearance. St Lucia is mountainous, and this will give you ease of mind for exploring. 7. All St Lucias beaches are open to the public, however some of the resorts may not appreciate non guests visiting the beach where the resort is located and make it difficult and be quite pushy.
8. On Friday the streets come alive with street parties. Enjoy dancing, freshly cooked seafood and meat on the BBQ, local beer, rum and lively music.
9. Pack that reef safe sunscreen (the sun can be intense) and depending on where you stay have some insect repellent ready as well.
10. When the cruise ships are in port the island can get extra busy. Highly recommend visiting the popular attractions when the cruise ships aren't in port so as to enjoy them without the extra crowds.
